Usually the recipients receive an e mail and in some cases, a leter from an individual who wants to transfer millions of dollars from an ooshore bank account.
They have a nice story to tell and ask for personal information after which they either use the information for basic indentity theft, or ask the recipient to paya shipment charge to a courier company to recive the money, kept secretly ina box!

This scam revolves around the creation of a take website asking for a rang of donations. The only way to stay away from these scams is to verify the charity with their respective government authorities. Usually a Google search will reveal some useful informaion.
